My Holiday Essentials: Makeup/Beauty

MAC blot powder - I always take this out with me, in my bag, at night. It keeps me looking shine-free and is easy to use for touch ups.

Bare Minerals foundation - This is one of my absolute favourite foundations, and it's the perfect holiday foundation because it looks really natural on, but still gives good coverage and doesn't feel heavy on the skin.

Bare Minerals Faux Tan - A bronzer is definitely an essential for me as, for some reason, my face doesn't really tan in the sun, so I use this to bronze up my face in the evenings to give me a bit of colour! It's the absolute perfect bronzer for holiday because it gives a completely natural, tanned colour and doesn't look false at all! I love this so much, I think I'm going to do a separate review on it soon.

MAC 'Petting Pink' tinted lip conditioner - I use this when I'm lying out in the sun, in the day. It's gives your lips a pretty, subtle, pink gloss and it has spf in it so it helps to protect your lips from the sun.

Shu Uemura eyelash curlers - I always tint my eyelashes before I go on holiday so I never wear mascara in the day, but I do like to curl my eyelashes to accentuate them and to make me look more awake! I love my Shu Uemura eyelash curlers! They're so easy to use and they are quite expensive, but, in my opinion, they're definitely worth the money.

Moroccan Oil - The sun can really dry out your hair so when I went to Spain recentley, I poured some of my mum's Moroccan Oil into a little travel pot to take with me. I applied a small amount through the ends of my hair before blow-drying, to help keep my hair conditioned and smooth. I really love it, and I think I'm going to try and buy a bottle for myself soon (or just take my mum's to 'borrow!')

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle sachets - I also took a few of these sachets with me, to use as a hair treatment before I applied my conditioner. It's a brilliant treatment for conditioning hair and leaves it feeling silky smooth. These sachets are perfect for travelling too!

Body Spray - I always have a bodyspray in my beach bag to refresh myself during the day!

A bit of Essex-spiration

I was reading Amy Child's article in this week's NEW magazine and saw a photo of the outfit she wore on 'This Morning', last week.

I love both the blouse and the shorts, and I was pleasantly suprised to find out the blouse is from Warehouse and the shorts are from Miss Selfridge.

So what did I do? I ordered them! I really like how they look together but I think they'd look nice seperately with other items too. I can't wait for them to come!

Blouse - £55 (Warehouse)
Shorts - £35 (Miss Selfridge)

MAC Semi Precious MSFs

My MAC order just arrived, so I thought I'd share with you the items I bought from MAC's latest 'Semi-Precious' collection. I was most excited about the new mineralize skinfinishes. I already own Soft and Gentle from the permanent line, and Petticoat and Stereo Rose (from In the Groove) which I absolutely love, so I knew I wanted a few of the new shades! I decided against the Goldstone msf as I already have a few bronze-toned mineralize blushes and similar shades, but I couldn't help adding all three other shades into my basket! I also really liked the look of the Warmth of Coral blush and Mlle lipstick from the 'Fashion Flower' collection, but as I'm going on holiday again next week, I'm trying to save a bit of money! I'm very happy with my purchases, they all look so gorgeous, and I can't wait to try them out!

Review: LUSH Lemony Flutter cuticle butter

'Softens hard skin all over the body, especially the cuticles. We made Lemony Flutter to soften your cuticles; it's our thickest cream out there. It's so good at softening your cuticles and nourishing your nails that Lush customers have been using it to soften and nourish lots of other body parts like their feet, elbows and knees. Fortunately, it's a very reasonably priced cream, so you can afford to use it as widely as you wish. Take more care of your extremities and invest a small sum in a Lemony pot.'

Lemony Flutter is a rich cream that has a lovely, fresh, lemon scent. It's a very thick cream and it melts when applied to the skin. I've used it on my cuticles, hands and elbows and it really moisturizes my skin, leaving it feeling so soft and smooth! I've used it on my lips too and it makes an amazing lip balm! It does take a while to sink in so when I use it on my hands and cuticles, I usually apply it before I go to bed, as a night treatment.

I absolutely love Lemony Flutter! I think it's is a brilliant multi-purpose product and one that I will definitley continue to use and repurchase. It's ideal for keeping in your handbag or on your bedside table! I would definitely recommend this!

LUSH Lemony Flutter - £5.95
