Back2MAC: Pretty Please

Pretty Please is my latest Back2MAC purchase. I've actually been trying not to purchase as many lipsticks, as I always get tempted by the pretty shades, but still find myself reaching for MAC's Hue and Creme d'Nude almost on an everyday basis.

So when I had my six empty MAC containers, I decided I'd take the opportunity to try a new shade. Pretty Please is described as a 'pale pink pearl' and is a lustre formula. It's not mega pigmented but gives a pretty wash of pink to the lips and has a glossy finish. It's perfect for keeping in your handbag and applying when you're out and about as you don't need to be too precise with application. I've been wearing it almost every day for the last three weeks. It's such a pretty, wearable shade - definitely one to take a look at if you haven't already!

A Few Favourites 18.04.12

MAC Face & Body foundation - A lovely, light-weight foundation with buildable coverage, which looks and feels so natural on the skin. Read my review here.

Bare Minerals foundation - I apply this with the Bare Minerals 'Full Flawless Face Brush' using the Swirl, Tap, Buff motion. It looks so natural on and gives a gorgeous luminosity to skin.

Maybelline Superstay 24hr concealer - This concealer is thick and creamy so disguises dark circles and covers imperfections perfectly.

NARS 'Casino' bronzer - Casino is my favourite and most-used bronzer. It's a dark bronzer so you only need to use a little to add a gorgeous, bronze glow to skin.

Rimmel Sun Shimmer 'Medium Shimmer' bronzer - This is too shimmery to use all over the face but I love using it on my cheeks to give a warm, bronzey glow. It's one of my most-used cheek products.

MAC 'Espresso' eyeshadow - 'Espresso' is the best eyebrow powder I've ever used! It's definitely an item I will repurchase over and over again. If you're looking for an eyebrow powder, I would highly recommend this.

Bobbi Brown 'Espresso Ink' gel liner - I use this for lining my top lashline almost everyday. It stays put all day and looks softer than black liner.

MAC 'Lightly Prancing' dazzleglass creme - It's a shame this lipgloss was limited edition! It's such a gorgeous nude with lots of shimmer, giving the appearance of fuller lips. If it's ever repromoted I'll definitely be stocking up!

Review: Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor is enriched with Australian Balm Mint. This nourishing treatment gets to work fast on damaged hair, repairing and smoothing rough cuticles, restoring manageability and shine. “The Aussie Philosophy" - There's more to life than hair but it's a good place to start! Pop a splodge of 3 Minute Miracle onto clean wet hair. Leave on for 2-3 minutes depending on how much of a treat it needs. Rinse with warm water.

The Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor aims to 'restore manageability and shine' and works in just 3 minutes - perfect if you're short on time. The cleverly-designed packaging is quick and easy - a simple squeeze will disperse the product though a hole at the bottom of the tube, which reseals itself when not in use.

The reconstuctor itself, is of a similar consistency to a normal hair conditioner and has a sweet, fruity scent. I use a small ammount and apply through the mid-lengths to ends of my hair, after shampooing. Aussie suggests leaving it on for 1-3 minutes, 'depending on how much of a treat your hair needs.' I usually leave it on for about 5 minutes, then wash it out and apply a small ammount of my normal conditioner.

This has become a staple product in my haircare routine. I've always used hair masks to condition my hair, as I do use heat on it almost everyday, and this is honestly one of the best hair masks I have ever used. When I use this, I notice a huge difference - it makes my hair softer, shinier and it feels and looks healthier. It also makes it a lot easier to comb through and style my hair. It's so quick and easy to use and it really does work within just 5 minutes - amazing!

The Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor only costs £4.99 and you can usually purchase it on special offer.

New Essie Polishes

Essie has become my favourite brand for nail polishes. I purchased two polishes in the Christmas Sales last year and picked up a few at the Professional Beauty Show last month, but recently found myself craving some brighter, more 'summery' shades. I ordered two new polishes from - Cute As A Button and Fiesta. Cute As a Button is a bright coral and Fiesta is a hot pink - both shades are gorgeous and perfect for Summer!

Love, Peace and Juicy Couture

'A joyous and exhilarating wealth of freshly cut blossoms, natural accents and elegantly feminine wood harmonies.'

'Your heart will be enamored by natural accents and feminine wood harmonies, while your senses are energised by a cocktail of meyer lemon tree blossom, wild hyacinth, sweet apple accord, black currant bud absolute, sambac jasmine absolute, star magnolia, malibu poppy, honeysuckle, linden blossom, orris extract, sheer patchouli flower, and enveloping musks. It's simply juicy!'

Juicy Couture's 'Love, Peace and Juicy Couture' is my go-to perfume of the moment.

It's a very unusual scent which isn't one I'd usually go for. I usually favour sweet, floral perfumes such as Marc Jacob's 'Daisy' and Vera Wang's 'Princess' for the Spring and Summer months. 'Peace, Love and Juicy Couture' has more of a fresh, earthy scent. It's a very hard scent to describe but reminds me of freshly cut grass and has fruity and floral undertones. It's a light, subtle scent and not over-powering so perfect for Summer.

This definitely won't be to everyone's taste but I personally love the scent of this perfume. It's definitely worth having a sniff and making your mind up for yourself.
